Journal writing is a key component to how I express and share my feelings with fellow human beings who may have similar thoughts, but cannot see them clearly. Putting our thoughts on paper enables us to visualize them, to feel them. I believe it is an important way to activate our internal healing processes.
Fulfillment thoughts
A poem by Nancy Chen Baldwin
Don’t they see the beauty that I see,
The world is so free and full of possibilities.
Can’t they see what I see,
The hope of what there is to be.
What is it they want that I cannot give?
It is not I to give that which does not belong to them.
I am a human being that lives within the values of where I came from,
For the moment I am who I am,
No more, and no less,
I wish to live to the fullest of all potentiality.
What is it that everyone wants from me?
I am the wanderer of the world,
For life is to be lived as is,
I have no special magic to make it any other way than what it is.
The world is not tragic,
I am no longer broken,
Like a useless child.
No more broken wings,
No more of the broken that needs to be fixed.
The beauty is there for people who wish to find it,
Own it for yourself,
There is no one else to blame.
It is what it is,
You need to make it your very own.
Live it full and true,
I am not to be blamed for what is and what is not,
You own it all.
You for all people,
Stop blaming others for your own inadequacy.
To connect with life is to find your own fulfillment and not through others,
This is the truest way to be completely free.
